We have installed vCenter 5.1 with multisite SSO and very thing is good. I do have one question that we have run when starting the Update Manger 5.1 install into hence posting to the community.
Our SAN is a IBM DS4700 and accourding to the compatibility chart it is only compatible with Update Manager 5.0. We have Dell Poweredge R710 for our esx hosts.
The question is When i start the install there is a spot where it says the following
Update Manager 5.1 will upgrade ESX/ESXi 4.x hosts and ESX/ESXi hosto to 5.1.
Download updates from the default sources and immediately after installation.
I am wary on pulling the trigger since our experience with the new SOO i am second guessing what its telling me. Thought and suggestions? I just dont want something to go crazy if I proceed.
