CTRL-C Does Not Copy From Windows Guest

Product: VMWare Workstation

Version: 9.0.2 build-1031769

Host: Windows 8, 64-bit  (Build 9200) 6.2.9200

Guest: Windows 7, 64-bit (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) 6.1

VM Settings:

Guest Isolation -> Enable drag and drop & Guest Isolation -> Enable Copy and paste are both checked (enabled).

Problem:

Via the Guest OS, hitting CTRL-C and then pasting into the Host OS does not work.

However, the following do work correctly:

1. Right-click -> copy from Guest OS then pasting into host
2. CTRL-C then pasting within the guest OS
3. CTRL-C from host OS then pasting into guest OS.

This is driving me nuts as I always CTRL-C instead of using the mouse.  Any help in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated!
