VCD 5.1.2 with ESXi 5.1 and VCenter 5.1. When deploying Ubuntu 12.04 based vApp templates we notice that the DNS Servers are not set.
With this release of Ubuntu the DNS servers are supposed to be set in /etc/network/interfaces file and no longer /etc/resolv.conf as per earlier releases. When we deploy these templates IP addressing information is written to /etc/network/interfaces but the "dns-nameservers" entry is omitted.
Has anyone else found a fix for this ? Perhaps a custom script...
